Installation & Foundation Guide Install on a firm, flat, and thoroughly compacted foundation to evenly distribute its 95kg mass. A level base of compacted crusher run, thick paving slabs, or a flat concrete pad is ideal to prevent settling over time. Check the pond rim with a spirit level before filling with water to ensure depth remains uniform and the waterfall flows evenly across the Mystic Top ledges. Place an appropriately rated submersible pond pump inside the basin and connect flexible tubing up to the intake manifold on the top spillway (submersible pump sold separately).
Maintenance & Care
- Keep the Bird Haven Pond filled with clean water to ensure the submersible pump intake remains fully covered during operation.
- Periodically scoop out fallen leaves, twigs, and debris from the open basin to maintain clear water circulation.
- Treat with a wildlife-safe, bird-friendly, and concrete-safe algaecide to prevent green algae buildup along the spillway shelves and basin floor.
