Product Description Asparagus Plumosus is a delicate, elegant scrambling perennial prized for its flat, horizontal sprays of ultra-fine, needle-like foliage that resemble miniature lace ferns. Despite its soft and feathery appearance, this South African native is a resilient, vigorous grower that forms dense, bright emerald-green clumps when young, eventually developing slender, twining woody stems that can climb or scramble gently through shaded garden beds and trellises.

Adaptable and versatile, it thrives in dappled shade borders, tree understories, rockery pockets, and patio planters. As it matures and establishes naturally in the garden, it produces tiny greenish-white starry flowers followed by small round green berries that ripen to a deep purple-black, adding textural depth, motion, and woodland charm to shaded outdoor spaces.
