Installation & Foundation Guide Install on a firm, flat, and well-compacted foundation to evenly distribute the 125kg weight. A level base of compacted crusher run, thick concrete pavers, or a flat concrete pad is recommended to prevent settling over time. Verify levelness across the pond rim with a spirit level before filling to ensure uniform water depth and an even sheet flow across each stone ledge. Submerge a standard pond pump inside the basin reservoir and connect flexible piping to the inlet manifold located behind the Serenity Top (submersible pump sold separately).
Maintenance & Care
- Keep the Bird Haven Pond filled with clean water to prevent the submersible pump intake from running dry.
- Periodically remove fallen leaves, twigs, and plant debris from the basin to keep water clear and pump intakes unobstructed.
- Treat with a concrete-safe, bird- and wildlife-friendly algaecide to prevent green algae buildup along the spillway shelves and basin floor.
