Jasminum multipartitum (Star Jasmine / Wild Jasmine)

Product Description

Jasminum multipartitum is a vigorous, evergreen climbing jasmine prized for its fragrant white star-shaped flowers and attractive glossy foliage. It is an excellent choice for climbing trellises, fences, pergolas, walls, and arbour planting, as well as for screening and hedging. The plant produces an abundant display of fragrant blooms and provides a lush, tropical feel in the garden.

Size When Fully Grown

  • Height/Spread: Can reach 3 m – 6 m, depending on support and pruning
  • Vigorous climber that requires strong support and regular training.

Best Growing Conditions

  • Light: Full sun to partial shade. Best flowering in full sun to light shade.
  • Soil: Well-drained, fertile soil with good organic matter.
  • Watering: Regular watering during establishment. Once established, moderately drought tolerant but performs best with consistent moisture.
  • Temperature: Prefers warm, frost-free climates. Protect from severe frost.
  • Feeding: Apply a balanced fertiliser in spring to encourage flowering.
  • Pruning: Light pruning after flowering to control growth and shape. Can be trained into a dense screen with regular pruning.
