Installation & Foundation Guide Install on a firm, flat, and well-compacted foundation to properly distribute the 135kg mass. A level base of compacted crusher run, sturdy garden pavers, or a flat concrete pad is ideal to prevent settling over time. Set the Bird Haven Pond basin in position and verify with a spirit level before placing the stream tier and Symphony Top. Ensure each overlapping section angles slightly downward so water cascades cleanly into the next level without loss. Position a submersible pond pump inside the basin reservoir and run flexible pond hosing up behind the rock tiers to the top intake manifold (submersible pump sold separately).
Maintenance & Care
- Keep the Bird Haven Pond generously filled with clean water to ensure the submersible pump intake remains fully covered during operation.
- Periodically remove fallen leaves, blossoms, and twigs from the basin to maintain clear water and keep pump intakes unobstructed.
- Treat with a bird-safe, concrete-friendly algaecide to prevent green algae buildup along the spill ledges and basin floor.
