Coriander is a popular, aromatic culinary herb grown for its fresh green leaves and flavourful seeds. Its delicate foliage has a distinctive fresh, citrusy flavour and is widely used in curries, salads, salsa, sauces, soups, marinades and garnishes.
This ready-to-grow potted herb is an excellent addition to kitchen gardens, herb gardens, vegetable beds, patios and containers, allowing you to harvest fresh coriander directly when needed.
Coriandrum sativum
Plant in fertile, well-drained soil enriched with well-decomposed compost. Coriander prefers soil that retains moisture while allowing excess water to drain away.
When repotting, use a quality herb or vegetable potting mix enriched with compost and organic matter.
Apply a balanced herb or vegetable fertiliser during active growth. Avoid excessive fertilisation, particularly high nitrogen applications, as this can encourage excessive leafy growth. Always follow the manufacturer's recommended application rate.
