× Cupressocyparis leylandii is a fast-growing, evergreen conifer widely used for privacy hedging, windbreaks, and boundary screening. It features dense, soft, feathery green foliage and a naturally upright growth habit, making it one of the most popular screening trees in South Africa.

This vigorous hybrid establishes quickly and forms a thick, evergreen wall when planted as a hedge. If left unpruned, it develops into a tall, columnar to broadly conical tree. It responds very well to trimming, allowing easy height and shape control.

Ideal for residential gardens, estates, farms, and commercial properties where rapid coverage and year-round privacy are required.

Height: 10 – 20 m (can be maintained at 2 – 4 m as a hedge with pruning)
