Installation & Foundation Guide Install on a firm, flat, and well-compacted foundation capable of supporting the large basin footprint. A level base of compacted crusher run, thick concrete pavers, or a flat concrete slab is ideal to ensure long-term stability and prevent settling. Verify levelness across the pond rim with a spirit level before filling to ensure the water level remains uniform. Place a submersible fountain pump inside the basin reservoir and route flexible piping up through the central conduit to the rear of the tap spout (submersible pump sold separately).
Maintenance & Care
- Keep the large pond basin generously filled with clean water to ensure the submersible pump intake remains fully submerged during operation.
- Periodically skim out fallen leaves, twigs, and wind-blown garden debris from the open basin to keep pump intakes clear.
- Treat regularly with a bird-safe, concrete-friendly algaecide to prevent green algae buildup along the basin floor and tap spout.
