Installation & Foundation Guide Due to its 190kg total weight and 1.6m tall profile, install this water feature on a firm, flat, and well-compacted foundation. A level base of compacted crusher run, thick paving slabs, or a flat concrete pad is ideal to support the weight and ensure stability. Use a spirit level along the Misty Pond rim and waterfall tiers before filling to guarantee water flows symmetrically through the central rock cleft. Place an appropriately rated submersible pond pump inside the basin and run flexible piping up to the top intake behind the rock spire (submersible pump sold separately).
Maintenance & Care
- Keep the Misty Pond filled with clean water so the submersible pump intake remains fully covered during operation.
- Skim out fallen leaves, twigs, and plant debris periodically to maintain clear water and keep pump intakes clear.
- Treat regularly with a concrete-friendly, bird- and wildlife-safe algaecide to prevent green algae buildup on the rock tiers and basin floor.
