Botanical Name: Parthenocissus tricuspidata
Common Names: Boston Ivy, Japanese Ivy, Wall Vine
📌 Product Description
Parthenocissus tricuspidata, commonly known as Boston Ivy, is a vigorous deciduous climbing vine prized for its dramatic seasonal colour change. Its glossy green, three-lobed leaves transform into brilliant shades of crimson, scarlet, and deep red in autumn, creating spectacular visual impact.
This self-clinging climber attaches itself to walls and surfaces using adhesive pads, making it ideal for covering brick walls, fences, and large structures without the need for trellising. In summer, small green flowers may be followed by dark blue berries.
Well suited to South African temperate regions, Boston Ivy provides excellent vertical coverage and cooling shade during summer, while allowing sunlight through in winter after leaf drop.
