Product Description

Petrea volubilis is a spectacular evergreen to semi-evergreen flowering climber admired for its cascading clusters of striking violet-blue flowers that resemble delicate wisteria blooms. Flowering profusely during spring and often again throughout the warmer months, this vigorous vine transforms walls, pergolas, fences, arches, and trellises into breathtaking displays of colour.

Its rough, textured leaves give rise to the common name Sandpaper Vine, while the long-lasting flower clusters create a dramatic ornamental feature that attracts bees, butterflies, and other beneficial pollinators. Fast-growing and highly versatile, Petrea volubilis adds vertical interest and tropical elegance to both residential and commercial landscapes.

With the support of a sturdy structure, this beautiful climber quickly establishes itself, creating a lush green backdrop accented by masses of vibrant blooms year after year.

Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
