Botanical Name: Sedum rubrotinctum
Common Names: Jelly Bean Plant, Pork and Beans, Christmas Jelly Plant, Red-Tip Sedum, Bean Stonecrop
📌 Product Description
Sedum rubrotinctum, commonly known as Jelly Bean Plant, is a cheerful, sun-loving succulent characterised by its plump, bean-shaped leaves that turn bright red at the tips in strong sunlight. The glossy green foliage becomes more intensely coloured during cooler weather and high light exposure.
Its compact, branching stems form dense clusters that create a vibrant groundcover or container filler. The colourful red tips make this one of the most popular accent sedums in succulent arrangements.
A hardy, drought-tolerant plant perfectly suited to South African rockeries, containers, and water-wise gardens.
