Perennial Dianthus, or 'pinks' as they used to be called are an old cottage garden favourite. The Sel series have been specially bred to remain compact and flower proliferously in summer. Just keep deadheading and they will keep on flowering all summer long. Tidy the plants up in early spring, when the danger of hard frosts has passed. 'Capitan Colon' is a vibrant dark pink type variety with shades of white and light pink around the edges as the flower heads age. A nicely scented little dianthus, 30cm x 30cm max. Great in pots as well as in the border.
