Botanical Name: × Cupressocyparis leylandii
Common Names: Leyland Cypress, Leylandii, Leyland Cypress Tree
📌 Product Description
× Cupressocyparis leylandii is a fast-growing, evergreen conifer widely used for privacy hedging, windbreaks, and boundary screening. Known for its dense, feathery green foliage and strong upright growth habit, it creates a thick, natural barrier in a relatively short period of time.
This vigorous hybrid conifer forms a tall, columnar to broadly conical tree if left unpruned, but it responds exceptionally well to trimming, making it one of the most popular hedge plants in South Africa.
Hardy, adaptable, and low maintenance once established, Leyland Cypress is ideal for large gardens, estates, farms, and residential boundaries where quick coverage is required.
