Botanical Name: Lapidaria margaretae
Common Names: Karoo Rose
📌 Product Description
Lapidaria margaretae, known as the Karoo Rose, is a rare and highly collectible succulent indigenous to the arid regions of South Africa. This compact mesemb forms tight rosettes of thick, triangular, stone-like leaves in soft grey-green to blue-green tones, sometimes flushed pink under sun stress.
Its geometric leaf arrangement gives it a rose-like appearance, hence the common name. In late winter to spring, large, bright yellow daisy-like flowers emerge, opening in full sun and creating a spectacular contrast against the sculptural foliage.
A slow-growing and drought-adapted species, the Karoo Rose is ideal for specialist succulent collectors and water-wise gardens.
