The Bark Unlimited Protea Fynbos Mix 30dm³ is a specially formulated, premium growing medium designed for the successful cultivation of Proteas and other indigenous fynbos plants. Crafted to replicate natural Cape Floral Region conditions, this mix provides the ideal balance of excellent drainage, acidic pH, and low nutrient content, which is essential for healthy root development and long-term plant performance.
Made from a carefully blended combination of composted bark, washed river sand, compost, and acidic organic components, this mix ensures optimal aeration while preventing waterlogging—one of the most common causes of Protea failure in gardens.
Perfect for both container planting and in-ground fynbos gardens, this medium supports strong, natural growth while maintaining the nutrient-poor environment that Proteas require to thrive.
