Installation & Foundation Guide Due to its substantial 330kg mass and large footprint, install this water feature on a firm, fully compacted, and level foundation. A reinforced concrete slab, thick level pavers, or a deep bed of compacted crusher run is essential to ensure the structure does not settle over time. Check all angles with a spirit level before filling to ensure an even, balanced spillover across all front ledges. Place a heavy-duty submersible pond pump inside the Misty Pond basin and run flexible pond hosing up through the back conduit to the top grotto inlet (pump and hosing sold separately).
Maintenance & Care
- Keep the Misty Pond generously filled with clean water to ensure the pump intake remains fully submerged during operation.
- Periodically clear fallen leaves, twigs, and debris from the open basin to ensure unobstructed water flow and protect the pump.
- Treat with a bird-safe, concrete-friendly algaecide to prevent green film buildup across the rock ledges and pond basin.
