Installation & Foundation Guide Install on a firm, flat, and well-compacted foundation to support the 135kg concrete mass evenly. A leveled base of compacted crusher run, thick garden pavers, or a flat concrete pad is ideal. Use a spirit level across the pond rim before filling with water to ensure even depth and a balanced spillover across the Meander Top stream channel. Position a submersible pond pump inside the Misty Pond basin and run flexible piping to the intake located at the top of the rock stream (submersible pump sold separately).
Maintenance & Care
- Keep the Misty Pond filled with clean water to ensure the submersible pump intake remains fully covered during operation.
- Periodically remove fallen leaves, grass cuttings, and twigs from the basin to keep water clear and pump intakes unobstructed.
- Treat with a wildlife-friendly, concrete-safe algaecide to prevent green algae buildup along the stream channel and pond floor.
