Aloidendron barberae, commonly known as the Tree Aloe, is one of the largest aloe species and a true statement plant in South African landscapes. This impressive succulent forms a thick trunk that branches into a rounded crown of large rosettes with smooth grey-green leaves.
As it matures, the tree develops a sculptural, architectural form that makes it ideal as a focal point in large gardens and estates. In winter, it produces tubular pink to salmon flowers that attract birds and pollinators.
