Benefits

🌸 Abundant Pink Flowers: Covered in clouds of charming saucer-shaped pink blooms over a long flowering season

🐝 Pollinator Magnet: Nectar-rich blossoms attract honeybees, native pollinators, and butterflies

🌿 Aromatic Evergreen Foliage: Petite leaves release an invigorating herbal aroma when brushed

💧 Water-Wise & Resilient: Thrives with minimal supplemental water once root system is mature

🪴 Great Feature Shrub: Versatile size works equally well as a standout specimen, hedge, or potted plant

✂️ Long-Lasting Cut Stems: Flowering branches make long-lasting additions to floral arrangements

Recommended Growing Medium & Compost Plant in light, free-draining, slightly acidic soil. Dig a spacious planting hole and incorporate plenty of organic compost, peat moss, or composted pine bark to ensure proper soil structure and drainage. Avoid heavy waterlogged clay or high-pH lime soils. Mulch the surface with bark chips to conserve soil moisture and keep the root zone cool.

Recommended Fertiliser Feed in early spring with a balanced, low-phosphorus organic fertiliser (such as an indigenous/fynbos blend or general organic pellets). Leptospermums thrive best without heavy synthetic feeds or high-phosphate fertilisers.

Growing Conditions

☀️ Light: Full sun is essential for dense foliage development and the heaviest flower production.

💧 Water: Water regularly until well established. Once mature, allow the top few centimetres of soil to dry out between waterings; avoid overwatering.

🌱 Soil: Well-drained sandy, gravelly, or loamy soil with a neutral to slightly acidic pH.

✂️ Maintenance: Tip-prune lightly immediately following the main flowering season to promote bushy lateral growth and encourage abundant buds for next year. Avoid hard pruning into old bare wood.
