Lactuca sativa ‘Lollo Rosso’ is a popular loose-leaf lettuce variety known for its finely curled, frilly leaves in vibrant shades of red to burgundy. The leaves are tender with a mild, slightly nutty flavour, making them ideal for fresh salads and garnishes.
This fast-growing leafy vegetable forms an open rosette rather than a tight head, allowing for continuous harvesting of outer leaves. Its attractive colour and texture also make it a favourite in edible gardens and decorative vegetable beds.
